Our Favorite Southern Delaware Summer Events

The sun’s shining, the sand’s warming up, and our favorite summer events are returning to Southern Delaware. With Memorial Day weekend approaching Insight Homes is listing some of our must-attend events of the summer season!

Poseidon Festival

Mermaids, pirates, marine life, oh my! Just a twelve-minute drive from our Sunset Harbour at Bethany Beach community in Ocean View, homeowners can indulge in aquatic-themed activities during the Bethany Beach Poseidon Festival. Held the weekend before Memorial Day, festival-goers can enjoy live music from a host of local bands, delicious food, a live demonstration of sand sculpting, and a Nature Center designed to celebrate the sea while helping the community prepare for potential coastal emergencies.

Beach Goes Red, White & Blue

Entering its fourth year, the Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, USO Delaware, and Delaware's First Responders invite you to join them as they salute those who’ve served our country during this festival of recognition. Minutes away from our Showfield community in Lewes, head to Rehoboth Beach on June 8th to enjoy free musical entertainment at the Rehoboth Bandstand, live demonstrations from local serviceman and first responders, and an Evening Boardwalk Dance to close out the night.

Old Timer's Day Classic Car & Truck Show

Less than a twenty-minute drive from our Woodlands at Bethany community in Frankford, classic car lovers will love the classic cars, tractors and emergency vehicles lining the streets of Selbyville during the 62nd Annual Old Timer's Day Classic Car & Truck Show on June 15th! This is a great summer event for the entire family to enjoy as a live band, vendors, and children's activities round out the festivities!

Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival

The 10th Annual Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival in Lewes is expected to be better than ever! Held on June 22nd and 23rd at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal, this is the perfect summer event for Insight residents in our Springtown Farms community in Milton. Featuring nearly seventy sea glass artists from up and down the East Coast, and as far away as the Virgin Islands; festival attendees are encouraged to bring their own glass shards and bottles, as specialists will be available to identify your treasurers on-site! Enjoy the warmer days ahead at one of these Southern Delaware summer events!
